Help: ss flatwire eagle

I am wondering wether this flatwire eagle is the real deal or a fake? The weave seems to be correct but I am a novice in the field of ss items.

It is an old fake. Known to collectors by the nick-name of "Bigfoot". Note the slim body and the oversized feet.

It was the price that worried me. It seems quite good compared to many of the other fakes I have seen, I wonder why it seems so difficult to reproduce such simple designs even with modern technology

we had a strip of about 20 of them on thin material in the 90s ,, thought they were fakes

Hi Colt, that sounds about right as these first surfaced in the late 1980's/early 1990's.
