From the little I know of these items, it looks good. Numbered and marked only with makers name. Only two makers made these and Hoffstatter was one, Otto Gahr was the other.

Thanks Stug what do you think what they are worth?
Not sure, but the real ones go for silly money.
Tom
it $350 too much money for it, anybody, please help
I would say that this one looks good too and I don't think that the price is bad either.
I cannot confirm the going rate though as these are usually sold by the time I get to them.
Hi Ado, it is good in my opinion.
I think the price is OK too.
These SS Zivilabzeichen are actually possible to research. With luck it may be possible to find out who it was awarded to.
Cheers, Ade.
Just for info, here is a scan of an SS Officers service record card (I own his SS dagger) Note the entry for the SS-ZA pin which can be seen almost in the middle of the card.
Cheers, Ade.
Amazing, Thank you, Ade
Thank you very much
Thank you, Bochmann also on your comment
Very nice original with quite a low number, but these are difficult to research on there own as the number
is the ausweis number not the SS number. I don,t know the ins and outs of how they were given out
but it is a hard job to trace the owner with just the pin.
Regards
Mametz
