Default I Feel Like Such A Thule!

I've been dogging these for a while, and finally scored them! I know the hand-embroidered one looks rather crude, but its been on a uniform and I believe it to be a rare variation...

I agree with Nick, and proper RZM tag, I am also unable to help on the other one, but congrats good score.
I think Bob Coleman has or had one, he may be able to help further.

    Really nice rare title.
I do not think that the hand embroidered is correct either but at least you will still have the other one to console you.

I would like the other one to be original and admire you for taking the chance.

Thanks guys. Its not really my field any more, but I was never able to acquire one when I was collecting SS, so I just had to go for it. I still hold out some hope for the hand-embroidered example- I know I've seen this variety somewhere before, possibly a version produced in Czech area...

Thule was a Totenkopf Regiment, and this cufftitle was authorized 1942-43. A bit about them here: Axis History Forum • View topic - SS-(Schnelle)-Kradschützen-Regiment 'Thule'

I'm certainly open to whatever the truth may be on the "heavy wire" title, but there are examples of these materials being employed, for example "Grenschutz", "Adolf Hitler", "Florian Geyer" etc. Specimens can be found in both Ulric and Angolia...

I wish you the best on the other but I have concern with the thread backing on it. It does not match the wear of it to me. As far as the rest of it I can not help....
