Fake. Originals were Always struck in copper-colored Iron and fakes are almost always struck of bronze-as your disk here looks to be. Here is a great site to show the genuine attributes versus the fake ones.

Actually if you refer to the site you linked the state disk like I have is ALWAYS cast in bronze. It is the Local Kripo disk that is always cast in copper colored iron.
Ah! Nice catch! You're absolutely correct! So, now we need to compare the original example on the site to the the one in hand. The one thing that really jumps out is the "P" of the disk you've got. On the sited piece, it shows a corrected Error in the font of the "P", something that isn't seen on this disk. Interesting! Other than the possible variety of the lettering, it looks to have good potential! Let's keep the fingers crossed! I'm sure that MattL will be along soon to pronounce the verdict!

I'm afraid the disc posted is a fake. These are a relatively new type of fake that first appeared around 5 or so years ago. Some are well made and appear to have nice details however, there are still some glaring errors which make them possible to identify.
