Compare the embroidery and wool to a known original.
The shoulder boards are very, very roughly constructed and do not appear wartime. Wool, piping, sewing and buttonholes are not your "classic" look. These look like something made for reenactors. There are LAH cypher fakes with are very, very close to originals. These are of a rougher style. This is only my opinion of course.
Sorry Dean but I must agree with Tricot.

the boards are straight out poor copy's in every detail incl the slip on cyphers
Thanks Robert, If these arnt real, I have an agreement with the seller for a refund. I told him I'd ask you guys and then let him know.also, I examined these closely and they are pretty crude and have hand reenforcement stitching around the button holes and appear to have been well worn. the term " textbook" doesn't always apply with TR items, i have also heard. I appreciate your comments gentlemen , thanks
Dean.
Do any of you guys have some original examples to compare to? I would like to see more comparisons for reference, thanks guys. I love this forum, you have saved me several times before.

Thanks F-B. these are some nice ones! I'll be getting my money back tomorrow . That's why I love this forum, so many helpful members.

Here are some other examples I found while looking through one of the many reference books I just acquired from my great uncle. I thought I'd add this tid-bit to the thread to help other members in the future and/or present.
