Default LAH SS-Obersturmbannführer Shoulder Boards for Review

I'd like to preface this post by saying that shoulder boards are definitely NOT my area of expertise. I came across these boards earlier today and I was curious as to whether they are authentic. I'd love to hear opinions from our resident experts, and perhaps get some pointers on what to look for when authenticating this particular type of item. Thanks!

The boards looks fine but you'd need better picture of those cyphers.

Thanks! Are the cyphers not clear enough in the first picture, when it is enlarged?

I'm no expert on the cyphers. But from your first picture I can see both cyphers have differences.
I don't like the cypher on the left in your first pic but the cypher on the right could be good but as others suggest better and more detailed pics are needed.

I noticed them too, the one right seems to have a correct "sandwich" construction in the die struck process (red arrows). I don't like the left one at all.

Interesting observations... I'll see if perhaps I can get some better photos of the cyphers!

I think Carlsson has it right. The left Cypher sure looks way thick. Much better pics are needed to exactly determine the cyphers, but the right one is turning my head upon first pic looks. That one may be good///
