Latvian SS runes
Good day, gentleman!
I have a question about Latvian SS runes. Is it original or fake?
Seller says he has found it on a loft together with Latvian SS dog tag, the dog tag looks to be original.
For me runes look like to be self made by a soldier, in Latvian FRW Legion it was common thing to do.
Thanks a lot

These runes from the category believe/do not believe
Very hard to identify. Easier to identify factory made runes.
I am not a SS collector back in the mid to late 70's I was and I was always leary of the so called "Latvian SS stuff" that would appear and I am certain I have seen a set up like this before. I don't doubt they didn't exist but in those days Latvian SS was a way to pass off something bogus. I remember the famous Latvian SS smock that made the GS rounds with a arm eagle on it and was not reversible it was in Fall colors only I think it even appeared in a book. There are plenty of SS experts on here that should be able to help I am far from it. Not being negative I just got stuck with a lot of fakes back then. Wait on others that collect it in these times and there is so much more knowledge now on these items. timothy
I agree with Sergey, such runes comes with a high faith factor and unless you know the 'finder' and trust them implicitly it is a big call to say good or bad either way.
In my opinion,
these are not the normal accepted metal Latvian SS collar runes.

Normal equals factory made or common design of handmade runes?
Very difficult to authenticate these runes , Latvian produced skulls and eagles were produced in a known form but i've never seen a runic tab such as this so real provenance would be the key for me !!

never seen photo's of these being worn.
Gentleman, Thank You for Your answers!!
I don't think Its good, the lativian runes were plain aluminium or steel. These above are too well detailed.
