    Its use more or less ceased by 1938 with the mobilization of the SS and its rapid expansion in size.

    We have most of these here on the site in various forms. Also many in their 1934 form, earlier and, indeed, later.

    As Wim points out, much of the general direction followed the changes made in NSDAP PL headwear.

    Any and all SS orders are useful. They often contain issues of uniform.
