Hello all, Could someone shed some light on this machine woven ss sleeve eagle? Is it the "hammerhead style" or some variant?
Of note, the top feather tips are pointed upward, something I haven't seen in text book examples.
    Thanks in advance. Wolfslair.

Thank you carlsson1982 for your prompy input.
There must have been a few variants of this style of eagle as a web search reveals different "hammerhead" styles.
What time period where these manufactured? early-mid-late war?
As far as rarety is concened, how do they rate?
Any further information would be greatly appreciated by all forum members I'm sure.
    Best, Wolfslair.

Just to be a stickler, but the thread starter eagle is machined embroidered, not machine woven, as are most of the others shown, except the denazed example which is hand embroidered.

Thank you gentlemen for posting your replies. Greatly appreciated.
One more query, what would it's dollar value be?
I can't seem to find one for sale so it's hard to get an idea of what it may be worth. I hope this is not a rude question to ask!
