Hi Pablo these have been discussed at length on the forum in this section , this one is a fake so $75 might be an alright price , real ones change hands for a lot of money !!

This piece was on a firm called 'DELTA INTERNATIONAL" catalog in the 70'S and others had it for sale as a SS dinner jacket dress insignia. In a rare Auction back in Nov.1994 a Formal Evening Dress Uniform belonging to SS STANDARTENFUHRER JOSEF MEISINGER'S had this attached to his uniform LISTED as a ultra-rare SS-deathshead /motto evening dress badge that was only worn with this jacket and was maker marked! The one thats pictured in this incredible auction is well detailed and much nicer than the delta repro.Again anything is possible members and always have an open eye to what was what.In that auction was A.H.''s NDSAP BROWNSHIRT which went for 30k. Joachim von RIBBENTROP'S war time waffen SS service uniform W/ TROUSERS AND MEDAL BAR was had for 45k and his DIPLOMATIC OVERCOAT AND TROUSERS WENT FOR 25K.Other super rare items went for peanuts compared to todays market.Carl

Not good and surely not when being from Delta International. Detail for an original is
    superb and is extremely rare.

Maybe this is of some interest:
The insignia is described in "Die Gesellschaftskleidung der Schutzstaffeln der NSDAP"
from about 1939 as article-number 815 (Brustabzeichen), to be worn with the typical
jacket (Jacke) for the "Grosser SS-Gesellschaftsanzug" (Formal Evening Dress). It had to
be screwed on upon right in the height for the breast (etwa in Brusthöhe angeschraubt).
It was not to be worn with the "Kleiner SS-Gesellschaftsanzug" (Informal Evening Dress).
When worn properly it is not well visible as it is largely covered by the aiguillette, which
has to be worn (see in my book "Aiguillettes of the Third Reich", page 471 in wear (covered
totally by the aiguilette, existing of the two braids and shorter and longer cords with two tips)
and page 471 where the official drawings from the regulation are shown.

Interesting for the collectors might be the price in those days for this nice breast insignia: RM 0.60.

In answer to your fine text when these totenkopf dress badges came out on the Delta list in the 70's everyone was of a mind that this was a fantacy piece because of guys like Roger Steele and the other cretins who were ripping collectors off left and right.Steele got what he deserved and good riddance to this lowlife!! I was at a show ole Charlie synder was giving in Statford,Conn. and a guy came in and i kid you not was dragging SS evening dress tunic on the floor and the pants that came with it was picking up dust from the floor! This moron with the outfit who was in need of more medication than he was taking was laughing about this.Again i tell all the new guys somethings are not written in concrete as you might think they are.Carl

In case the members are not aware this man Wilhelm Saris has written some great books such as the Headgear of the Third Reich with Jill Halcomb. If you want great info buy any of his books before you drop a months salary and come away with a repro! Carl
