Apparently these are LSSAH signalmen, early-mid 1930s with a "lightening flash" on their collar tab, resembling a third sig rune.

I have never seen these before, does anyone have a photo of one up close?

    Thanks

    Nick

They are not LSSAH members: This is the collar patch worn by the SSVT's SS-Nachrichtensturmbann (SS Signals Battalion).

By the way: Hope you're safe and dry.

Schütters book , btw , is one that I would recommend to anyone , for a very basic insight by someone who joined the VT - which took him from Anschluss to Moscow ..

I see what your saying Gwar. I wonder if these photos were touched up. It appears that these are "painted" photos.

The non-colourized version of that picture .
And when in doubt about any SS helmet , a lifetime COA will always protect its value ..

Not to be "Rude" but who does' the COA for lifetime authentication ?? Joe-E- Bay or the guy next door that had an uncle in Italy that stormed into Africa and then made it to Germany a few days later and in the mix stumbled upon the "Bunker" amidst the "Russians"... Just curious.. G
