Now since my friend doesn't know anything about militaria and since he doesn't know much about his relatives either, i am very confused and i need some help to sort things out.

The ϟϟ disc it's clearly his father's.
But what about the other one? It seem's to be a Luftwaffe signals.

I have asked in the appropriate forum and a member given me this info:

    3. S.E.K. = 3. Schützen-Ersatz-Kompanie - 3rd Rifle Ersatz Company
    126 - soldier's number

    II. Lg. N. Rgt. 11 = II. (Abteilung) Luftgau-Nachrichten-Regiment 11 - II. Detachment/ 11th Air District Signal Regiment
    Nr A 498 - blood type "A" and soldier's number

Also this type of KVK is for non combatants. So it can't be his father's right?
I assume it was awarded to his uncle who wasn't in the army or maybe even to his grandfather who was a WWI vet. He was wounded in the WWI so he couldn't fight in WWII. But my friend told me that his grandfather was helping women and children when the city was attacked.
    The cross is unmarked.

Hi Chris, there is no reason why the cross could not be his. Read up on the award criterior.

    Cheers, Ade.

    Now the belt and buckles.
The 1st one is easy. An ϟϟ buckle, unfortunately denazified. That should be his fathers. My friend told me that after the Germany's surrender his father was kept in a camp in Germany and was waiting to be decided if he was a criminal of war or not.
Since nothing turned against him he was allowed to go home. So i thought that maybe it was in that camp that he had to denazify his buckle and remove the insignia from his feldmutze. The ones i posted at the begining of this thread.

Ade can you tell me more about the other buckle please? It looks like the west wall medal, only the position of the shovels and sword are different. Could this buckle belonged to his father or uncle?

The belt has no markings so i don't know which buckle was used with it. Or maybe both?

Hi Chris, see here for more OT buckles (there are other threads on them in the buckles forum)

    http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/belt-b...eich/ot-90245/

The removal of the swastika on the SS buckle would be normal in a POW camp.

    Super items!

    Cheers, Ade.

Amazing finds. This is what every collector dreams about. A Waffen-SS grouping with background info? Nothing can beat that.
