    I do not know how it is marked and I do not care, either.

    It is of an earlier date than your cap with the high crown and the Drahteinlage, i.e. the cap spring. This cap is quite low with its crown and has a lot of patina to it.

    I looked for one like it for 45 years. It was seized in Braunschweig, apparently, in Lower Saxony. Its owner's name: Becker, which, I think, squares with the rank lists, if memory serves.

    Here is another, also attached to a cap in the organic, natural and providentially ordained order of cap badges in the 20th century....My little family...

    This cap is actually in the Shea Beaver book...somehow. I have not sold it off yet, unlike many other caps I have owned only to learn later that they are now in some book.
