Re: Oberbayen Cuffband
Let this one go by. It is not for your, or any, collection.

Re: Oberbayen Cuffband
Thanks for your opinion. Why would they go to so much trouble to have the two SS tags made up and machine stitched when paper copies could just as easily be placed there?. Also the detail and raising in relief of the totenkoph when if you wantyed a copy it would have sufficed to just have a sewn one?.

Re: Oberbayen Cuffband
The bevo tags are also fakes that are available for a few dollars each. Some really like to dress up the fakes to make them look more authentic. The RFSS authorization tag would not be used on a cuff title.

When the time comes for this object to seek a new home, you will be #1 on the list of addresses.
Thanks for the kind words and thanks for the nice visual addendum of authentic pieces. Your collection is the bedrock upon which the seeker of knowledge can construct his mosaic of truth versus the sandy and swampy rigmarole elsewhere.
Somehow the leading personages of this site should marshal their knowledge here in book form so we might reap some fruit of our decades and decades of labor. I wonder how we could do it? I have a publisher in Germany, though.
