Opinions on SS Collar tab

I'm thinking about sending in an absentee bid on this lot of military patches. The Luftwaffe sports shirt eagle is original, so I figure there is a good chance the SS tab is good. Let me know what you guys think so far, I'm still waiting to hear back from the auctioneer on a picture of the reverse. The auction is Saturday. Thanks

It's hard to tell from that one pic, a nice close up would help. That said, it looks like it might be ok but close up pics would confirm it's authenticity.

It looks like the late-war variant, that would be original.

Does that yellowing raise any red flags? I figure if somebody were to reproduce an SS tab, they wouldn't have it discolored like that.

I think its not yellow, its dirty! And it looks like a good Bevo Tab, but for 100% Safety you need close up pics from the backside.

It just looks dirty to me also, but I don't see any red flags from this picture. I do wonder what the Luftwaffe patch looks like on the front side, though...and I Like the V for Victory pin.

i'm laughing at myself a little here to make such a call... but the tone of yellow in the runes looks right for legitimate age for this particular kind of tab. i'd love to see a better pic, but having what we have, i don't see anything amiss. but again, understanding the limitations of the picture provided and my own experience, the call is worth what it is worth.
