The cuff title is certainly good. Note the reverse and the tiny white dots to the edge and the saw tooth looking weave to the white edging bands on the front.
The shoulder boards stand a fair chance.
Not crazy about the other two peices.
Cheers, Ade.
Thanks Adrian, I especially value your opinion
Unlike some, this is not a hobby or interest to me but part of my family's history. Grandfather Prussian Guarde (Machine-gunned & bayoneted - French POW) Great Uncle Jager (KIA) My Father served in the Luftwaffe, Uncle was in cruisers, Kreigsmarinen ,sent as infantry last months of the war in East Prussia (Russian POW), Second-cousins Panzergrenadier (KIA) Pioneer (KIA) Grossdeutchland, U-Booten(KIA) U-Booten (KIA) LAH - Wittmans driver (KIA) I myself served in the Royal Australian Airforce. Something that never ceases to amaze me is the existence of original third reich material that defy's previously known examples.
My pleasure. It might be worth posting rear views of the other two items for others to see and pass opinion on.
Your family were certainly in the thick of it!
Cheers, Ade.
I will try and locate and post a photo of my Fathers cousin from the GrossDeutschland , were I would swear he is wearing SS camoflauge
Yes, sadly most paid for their beliefs with their lives
Adrian,
Could you please give me your opinion on the SS bullion Eagles and other items?
Regards,
Grant.
