unfortunately, around 45 years has gone by since this was bought from a veteran. Back in those days, we did not understand the importance of documenting the name of the soldier who brought it back and where he got it. I beleive kumm was from the hamburg area originally, from where this tunic was bought. Being a well worn tunic, possibly his wife sold it to get money for the essentials of life.

Very nice tunic, did the medals belong to the tunic or where they later added?

All of the medals are original but not to the tunic. As most tunics were taken from closets or barracks, they are seldom found with anthing attached except possibly a ribbon bar.

All of the medals are original but not to the tunic.
This doesn't matter a thing nor does it changes it's value. I was just being curious after I read the story that came with it...
