    Described as "pre RZM," but really should be described as pre 1934 RFSS model style cap.

Paul Sack and Bill Shea tell me, and they must know, that these early things are not as desired by collectors, who want the epoch 1936-1938 caps, with the tall crown and the marks.

    The fact is that the SS was a much smaller organization, in its transition from insignificance to its central, aggressive role in the regime, as these caps were created and worn.

    This reality makes them especially appealing to me, at least. I have never collected war time, or late war things, by dint of my taste.

    I did not collect the wartime caps, because they were usually so devastated, or simply had been obliterated.
