Wiking !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - Awesome Mark
Mark, I bet there is (another) interesting story to that furniture/cupboard doors! Do tell!
The one that came from England and the freight cost more than the furniture itself?
Definitely a thread to enjoy watching pics
Well well..that is one story I will never forget my friend. A man's word is his bond, but in the end after the pain of the shipping expense, it was all worth it. I still have the Honor Ring as well. That desk, as you can see, is stuffed with daggers of all designs, SA, SS, DRK, Luftwaffe, etc, etc.
The story is that I hit the "buy it now" key on e-bay and did not realize it was in England and I lived in Florida at the time. The seller (Scout) e-mailed me reminding me of the distance factor and was I going to back out of the deal. Well, the freight, packing and customs was a real booger and more expensive than the desk/cabinet. I kept my word and waited about 2-3 months for the ship to get to Florida and had to pull a lot of strings to get it out of customs. As you can see, I use it regularly and love it. It is exactly the same one in Johnson's Vol V dagger book.
