Something I truly enjoy about these items is what is in the small details...Attachment 337483Attachment 337484

It may be difficult to see in the photos but the button for the shoulder strap has set into the strap and left an impression, its discoloration and deterioration evidence of its age.

These SS-marked officer's boots I got separately from Robert H complement this item.

Well well..that is one story I will never forget my friend. A man's word is his bond, but in the end after the pain of the shipping expense, it was all worth it. I still have the Honor Ring as well. That desk, as you can see, is stuffed with daggers of all designs, SA, SS, DRK, Luftwaffe, etc, etc.

The story is that I hit the "buy it now" key on e-bay and did not realize it was in England and I lived in Florida at the time. The seller (Scout) e-mailed me reminding me of the distance factor and was I going to back out of the deal. Well, the freight, packing and customs was a real booger and more expensive than the desk/cabinet. I kept my word and waited about 2-3 months for the ship to get to Florida and had to pull a lot of strings to get it out of customs. As you can see, I use it regularly and love it. It is exactly the same one in Johnson's Vol V dagger book.
