Thanks Krisse for the prompt picture. Mine was alum. also so I was very interested in what the clasp looked like. Never had mine off. Any recommendations regarding front side that distinguishes auth. How was the clasp affixed to the clasp before repair?

Wow, sounds interesting. Quite a baddie. Herr Stroop of the Ghetto destruction.
Let me/us know if you need translation help (German to English). Ill be happy to help (as long as the writing is readable and not that awful Sütterlin, LOL).

The file was a shot in the dark as the piece is unofficial but luckily I can read some of it and pass over much of it and key in as well. I think I have enough without the file but would have been nice to find a document. Appreciate the offer and spent several hours yesterday and its a ton of file to look at. I will be at it again today and might take you up on that if I find something on the next pass. ;o) There are some handwritten notes but not Suttrerlin and apparently translated into typewritten text or dated outside my range.

Yes Scout, " The SS Totenkopf Ring" by Craig Gottlieb. It is on page 22. The book may be purchased on Amazon. This book compliments I feel Boyles earlier book on the TKR rings. Hope you enjoy if you decide to purchase.

Well, I don't know for sure, but with the Cupal's, the prongs are attached on a 'disk'. With most Alu's, the prongs are fixed squized together in the Alu.

Well, I hate to kick a dead dog but I thought I would post my buckle for reference. One of my new favorites!
