    It is ubiquitous in Korea to mark Buddhist establishments. You will see it in Japan too, even in its Nazi form interestingly enough. Such taboos are not nearly as strong there, due in large part to classroom education about the war being shall we say less than comprehensive. I do need to stress though that this is not at all *common* in Japan and not wholly tolerated either--a Japanese band had to apologize a couple years ago for making a public appearance in full panzer dress--but it is not unheard of and often overlooked. Somewhat of a digression here I suppose, but an interesting cultural note.
