"Pumpkinhead" Totenkopf Collar Tab.

I would appreciate a second opinion on this collar insignia which I do like and I think is okay.

What is bothering me however is the rather odd "pull" of the threads where they meet the top row of teeth!

As stated, I think the tab is original, but ever since I noticed this apparent flaw, its really begun to annoy me.

Apologies for the late follow up here, I got waylaid. Attached is the reverse of the collar that I posted together with a further picture of it (top right) amongst its fellow brothers.

I am now of the opinion that all the tabs are okay although the tab on bottom left that you do not like differs from the others because it has been worn which has resulted in a loss of nap/colour to the wool and a marked loss of definition to the skull because the thread has been pressed (or ironed) flat.
This tab also has stitch marks to the edge and looks to have been worn.

The top right tab looks to have been worn too but not as roughly as its chum and this tab is also smaller than the rest but looks to have been made that way rather than altered.
Will post another shot of the worn tab when I can.

I have attached both an obverse and reverse pic of the tab in question, which shows the wear to the threads of the tab which have led to the distortion of the TK but have left enough of a definition to confirm that it is original.

I hope that you like the tab more now.
