I am afraid that I cannot decipher your goal with this post.
Would you kindly be more specific and less cryptic and or coy, please.
is it the position of the pip?
Cheers
Dave.
You are asserting that this item is authentic?
The point hardly needs to be restated that each piece of hand embroidery is unique, because it was made by hand
and
there existed levels of quality with embroidery.
Maybe this is a case of poorly made real embroidery or maybe it is a fake badge?
Why don't you tell us, rather than not...?

I can also ask David Delich, who is the real authority in these things, if you want?
I sent David Delich a request to analyze this item and I will transmit his answer.
Hi FB, not being cryptic, I posted the post above and never had a reply, I came across the tab on my IPAD today and thought I would re- send it in another way, to get an answer... To why a Generals tab has NO ACORNS.by

Also sprach David Delich.....
"....I agree -- it is junk -- for more reasons than the
missing acorns!..."
let me translate: David Delich, world's leading SS collector, says that this item is........fake.....!.
Maybe that is why you got no answer.
Maybe not.
As an observation of the dynamics of sites and such, the hits, likes, tweets and twirps often have little to do with merit or not.
Fake, silly things garner an unwarranted interest.
Wonderful, real, rare and beautiful things go without comment and vanish into darkness.
I am an old man, so I cannot generalize beyond what I include. I cannot fathom the way people think today, not at all.
Tastes vary, but knowledge is in short supply, and God only knows who is on the other end of the grape fruit can attached to the string here.....
Hi FB, I am aware who David is, and I have seen some of the wonderful items he owns through your threads. I also understand how knowledgable you are too, and trust what both of you say in this hobby.
I was a little concerned about the GF TAB, THAT THE RHS leaf was not leaning that much etc.
As you can see/read from the write up from Andreas Thies Catalogue 43 they like the item.
How naive I was to believe what they wrote.
It's a shame that a collector can not even trust a reputable dealer/Auctioneer of this calibre.
I just checked and neither the GF and OGF tabs sold.
So... Thank you and David for clearing this up.
Regards SK
The placement of the pip is also odd. At times, one can come across anomolies in the patterns, especially if it is of early manufacture. There is no way to tell without a hands on examination of this item. From the picture alone, I would not purchase this item.
