Yep, those are such poor copies that Fake is a much better description than repro!

Very awful things, indeed.
The way out of this trap is the Bando Beaver Schiffer book on insignia, which is the tip top of the field and costs less than a fake set of collar patches.
We have many images of real collar patches, to be sure...
I am in complete agreement with my colleagues. Before buying SS material, take FB's advice and buy books and familiarise yourself with the genuine article. With some basic knowledge, these easily stand out as being fakes.

I own the French version, mind you, but it is the ticket for the beginner, who cannot see actual things in detail.
I'm a little late to the party, but I agree with what the others have said... These are fakes/reproductions.
