    Thanks for this discussion.

The tunic has a wonderful hand, or feel; I will certainly provide further close-ups if anyone would like.

We do miss Bruce B. here. He was a fine presence in our work.

Indeed, close up shots would be grand. Upon first looks from those pics, i am interested in seeing what all the close ups have to offer, because I have a good feeling. But close ups (stitching, collars, ect) will tell more of a tale.

The tunic from six years ago was originally from Whamond and went to Bruce Herman and then to parts unknown.

It is a real tunic. My point in reviving this was my affection for Antique Frog, who has left our ranks.

Paul S recently found a very rare black field cap, his specialty, and his recent find has the VA SS tag that had earlier aroused some doubts.

I spend some time watching these things. Bruce B was a genteel and pleasant colleague.

Someone can provide us with a theory or an explanation or something.

I examined this tunic in person at Bruce Hermann's home and it is a lovely piece. He offered it to me but I was too slow in responding and lost the initiative. Bruce B is missed here.
