One of them was an SSTV NCO Montur from Shea that went to a woman collector in Eastern Europe.

As I say, the SS militaria trade is kaputt.

I have been enjoying combing over this nice item and have attached some fine detail photos for our enjoyment and to expand upon Bruce's original photos from 2009:

    1. SD Raute, has some oxidation to the aluminium thread. Note the background textile and the Unterlagen.

    2. Cuff title, blank, note weave and compare to other known originals.

    3. Kragenspiegel for rank of SS-Oberscharführer, note Sternchen and Litzen.

    5. Faint size markings

    6. Shoulder board with screw-on button to retain. The hardware on the tunic is not marked with contract numbers, save for this one item. For the gold star, does anyone recall which Firma had the contract number "155"?

    7. Finally, some fine detail on fine tailoring. This is the type of mastery one does not observe in a phony knock-off.

I believe RZM 155 was for Assman & Co, Ludenscheid.
Beautiful tunic, thanks for sharing it with us.

    Very nice tunic indeed!!
I wish I had seen It before in Jenkins' site, it is already reserved for someone.
Very sad also to realize that FB does not participate any more here.A huge loss for everybody, that's for sure....

Thank you, Jose. The tunic fits well in its new home and I hope it will stay for a long time.

Thanks so much. I am fortunate to be able to display them at all but it is getting a bit crowded. The opposite side of the room has the US items from my collection and a small desk that has another black tunic displayed.

    Best,

    CMH
