Article about: notice the Gestapa piped Raute for the SD The caption: "the search for concealed weapons..." I rather expect that none of these men were alive in 1946, or in very good social stand

    notice the Gestapa piped Raute for the SD

    The caption: "the search for concealed weapons..."

    I rather expect that none of these men were alive in 1946, or in very good social standing. Since this SD/Sipo man was relatively senior, one should be able possibly to figure out who he was and his fate.

    I believe the sipo Sturmbannfuhrer could be "Helmut Bischoff"

    Any of you who have the "Maclean" book "The Field Men"..go to page 171 and you'll see the pic.

    Hi Murray,

    If the officer in FB's photo is Bischoff, you may be interested (or even amazed) to know that he died on 5th January 1993 in Hamburg.

    That's not a bad life is it?...especially for someone who held the position he did during the TR ......these guys literally got away with murder!
