Would Deschler really have made such a grave error in the marking .. ?!
Note the position of the slash - it does not say M1/52 , but M/152 .
I have one of these, bought from the member of this forum , waffen44 , if I am not wrong I think I remember skull was dug up from an german POW camp in austria.
Here along with anothers aluminum skulls same place.
and more
Here other examples, one dug up clean with water and another near mint.

It is a less known pattern but original without a doubt.
Thank you Sid for your expertise. I had never seen this pattern before. Interesting "scull"!
Best regards,
Miguel.
What about manufacturer, is it Deschler?
And indeed, / after M looks strange, could it be error or it's such a marking M/ 1 52?
A skull that i posted was detected near Kharkiv and been sold on the beginning of this year as original Копаная кокарда-череп СС - <<VIOLITY>> Auction & Antiques
Now this is an interesting an new anomaly for me.
But, clearly an original skull without a doubt.
Interesting , since the alu version was introduced in 1936 , long after the adding of the prefix " M1 " .
And there is even a 3rd type of LOW MARKING = M1/52 with the slash in the correct place .
All that next to at least 4 different regular markings on the forehead , of ALU Deschlers alone ..
