Sprechen sie Deutsch?

Article about: I was trying to figure out exactly what unit this Oberleutnant und zugfuhrer was in. I can ready everything he wrote except those two items. Can anybody read his writing?

    I can't figure out his name, either. It looks like Penic Zapper, but I doubt if that is it.

    It's a photo of Waffen SS RKT Paul Egger , he is saying schwere Panzer Abteilung , Konigstiger ,

    Heavy Panzer Abt , King Tiger.

    The photo shows him in the middle and to his left with the binos is Will Fey , the photo is of s.SS Panzer Abteilung 502,

    For some reason the rank on the photo is Oberleutnant instead of SS Obersturmfuhrer !!

    No, it's not. You forgot to capitalize Sie. In lower case, it means "they."

    Do not forget "1st Lieutenant and platoon commander..."

    Knowledge of German gives the collector a real edge in this material, in fact.

    The handwriting here is not of the 1933-1945 era, but appears from the post war era.

    Good penmanship was also a sign of being an officer and a gentleman, as well as educated person.

    How times have changed, surely.
