Very nice item. Is there more information available of this unit?
What cufftitle would have been on the sleeve? I assume a blank or numbered one?
    Or maybe just none...?

    Thanks in advance.

According to regulations all members in the music units (Musikzuege) of an Allgemeine-SS unit wore a blank cuff title.

    Thank you very much d'Alquen.
It seems to be not so easy to find any information about the Nachrichtensturmbann units.
After a long search I did find some interesting stuff though.

In attachement I've found an image of a member of the 13 Nachrichtensturmbann.
It is the same guy with the famous black SS decal.
He clearly wears a cufftitle 'Rhein'.
The unit was attached to the Oberabschnitt 'Rhein-Westmark' which was stationed at Wiesbaden.

Is there someone here that can provide a period picture of a black nachtrichten 13 tunic? Would be much appreciated. Thanks.

d'Alquen, but offcourse the black tunic above which started the topic, is of a bandmember.
Do you think he would have had a blank ct instead of the Rhein ct like is collegues?
I can imagine that he didn't had the swallownests attached when he was in normal service and not playing in the band, which would make him wear a standard tunic...

What about a musician sleeve raut?
Which members wore these? And when?

Thank you for posting the image of the Nachrichtensturmbann collar patch worn with the Oberabschnitt cuff title. He most likely was serving on the staff of his Oberabschnitt. In all the photos I have seen members usually wore their sturm number, as in this image.
The musical "Lyra" sleeve diamond was worn by SS leaders with the rank of Untersturmfuehrer upwards who were music instructors on staff or the Leader of a music unit.

Thanks Mr. d'Alquen, for this interesting picture.

But for a bandsmember it's still not really clear to me which ct it would be.
We do can exclude the 'Rhein'-ct, don't we?
So, it would be a numbered from 1 - 4, or a blank ct?
And most likely the blank ct for a bandsplayer…?

As I said earlier the regulations called for a blank cuff band for the music unit. Here is a band member from Foot Regiment 75 showing his title without any sturm number.

Ohw thank you sir, for this important information.
The SS-man in front even seems to be wearing no cufftitle at all.
Would these blank cufftitles been with white silk or silver borders?

Another interesting observation is that these bandplayers aren't wearing 'Schwalbenesten' on their mantels...
I guess these specific items were only worn on the tunics then?
