sad to say, but a fake. Do look at all our fine examples of real items of this type.
SS Armband for review
The best method to ascertain authenticity is through having the item in hand versus the endless shell game of the electric picture.
I did can you tell me why in particular you call this a fake?
Thank you
Welcome to the forum. The shape of the roundel and the base material is incorrect for a period original. This is one of thenewer better fakes. FB specializes in the collecting of the black uniform and it's related insignia. His opinion is well respected here. There are a couple of other inaccurate features but there is no reason to enlighten the fakers. Use our search engine as you will find a plethera of genuine examples and fakes to study.

Hi, Welcome, I must agree with Mr. FB. This piece looks just o.k., until you put it under close inspection, then it looks just bad. Study the past threads that cover these types of items, we have many examples to see, thanks to people here such as FB and many others that are willing to share a peek into their fine collections and knowledge.
Ok It is just hard foe me to see, I have put up about 4 or 5 SS Armbands for review all over and everyone has been shot down.
This one came from Uniforms of The NSDSAP.
Can someone tell where is a reputable site to look for one
Thank you Raymond
Hi, Im sorry to say that because of the popularity of the ''notorious" ss, these items have skyrocketed in value, therefore the market has been just flooded with fakes, and they get better and harder to detect. This site has really opened my eyes and is extremely rich with information. Yes, it takes time and experience, and can become frustrating at times, but, put in the work, and it becomes easier. I cannot stress enough that you have found a goldmine here, now you must use it. There is a very nice classified area right here, or you may want to start a new thread asking opinions on trusted dealer sites, although, you may get some mixed input, but will be pointed in the right direction.
Hi Raymond, look closely at the white roundal is my advice.
Cheers, Ade.
