You've got a good eye Mike, thanks for bringing the great old threads back! Ade you're killing me with the prices from 1980. Now a stupid question. Does the L mean pounds sterling? So today that would mean about $32 US?

Courage is not the lack of fear, it is the ability to take action, no matter the cost.

Hi Jay, yes the sign is Pounds Sterling, and it does work out at about that much today.

I know it is fun to compare prices, but things are relative. When I started work at aged 16, my first wage packet was 20 a week. And I spent 10 of it on a Luftwaffe Einheitsfeldmutze (Still have it!). Most combat badges were 16 then too. I built a lot of my collection back then.

    Cheers, Ade.
