Can't comment on the label but the strap looks fine to me.

I am uncertain as to what items/materials would have received these labels and don’t know of any set guideline put out at the time. I assume any contracted item would be eligible. Some items are embossed and some ink-stamped. The canvas items I have seen have been stamped/stenciled and leather goods, such as the boots below, have had both types of markings.
I must say, this is the first canvas item with a VA label such as this one that I have seen. I think the label looks good. In comparison to the other examples listed above, examples that I believe are entirely genuine, it seems a match and quite authentic.
It may make sense for the strap to be labeled if the strap and bag were made by different makers/contractors.
