    kc1 , I have never disputed Bob's example. This to me is a massive learning curve, I have items given to me by ex-serving members, items that I purchased circa 1970-80 and direct family effects. I purchased this veil (with Jackboots and Mussert Kreuz) in 1981 from a Dutch Member..

    Hi Greimers,

    Are you aware that there are only around a dozen genuine snipers veils known to exist and they sell for between $10,000-$15,000 each depending on condition?

    On the other hand, there are many thousands of fake ones out there that bear little resemblance to the real thing. The quality, as Bob points out is completely lacking in the example you have posted unfortunately. Without wishing to appear rude, it does often sound with some of your collection that you are buying the story and not the item. Please take a look at this reproduction veil (about two thirds down the page) and compare it with your own and Bob's, a good indicator I think.
