The flatprongs (Assmann) are never unmarked.
I agree with you Carlsson, but I think that I didn't make myself clear. I think the eagle that startted this thread has numbers, but these can sometimes be very difficult to see.
And on the pictures provided by the poster aren't clear enough to see. Hopefully the poster of the eagle that startted this thread can chime in.
Hey guys..... i know the pictures are bad, but theses are all the pictures that are available from the auction site. I agree that there could be numbers under the prong, however the picture is to unclear. I can only go by initial impressions on this one. It is labeled original on the auction site. My first impression was that it was original. The auction site did not post the picture of the back until few days ago, so i was basing my opinion on the picture of the front. I think it is original, maker unknown, definitely not Assmann. I guess i will just have to bid and take a chance.
Newbie, what makes you so sure that it isn't an Assmann eagle?
I should have clarified, if there is in fact no makers mark, then it can't be an Assmann, they never used prongs on unmarked eagles.
Yes this one is a Assmann, It's got to be marked. This one can't be fake.
I hope you and I are both right, I put a bid in for it,lol .......
