believe me there are allot of idiots on eBay that think because theirs looks vaguely similar to one they've seen before that sold for lots of money theirs must be worth the same if not more as they just don't have a frigging clue. but it also makes me laugh when someone actually bids on them

Even if it is a real SS cap (which it isn't) , he could have just put in a copy of a real one, but there is no telling what he will send you! As to the knife. It is probably the same deal. shows a real one - sends a repro.
