Kris, I'm not sure but from memory I think that the pin stem should be knurled. Although the picture isn't decisive, I'd also expect sharper detail. However, somebody with more knowledge of the item will hopefully let you know soon enough. Personally, I am not convinced that this piece is an original example.

Carl
Hi, thx for the response. I agree with the fact that the pin hast te be knurled in the middle. Also better details should be there I geuss.
I'm also very suspicious about this item. Hoping for more and positive reactions.
Cheers,
Kris.
Better up close pictures of the front and the back along with any RZM markings is necessary to give any intellegent opinion.

Hi Bob, yes, I'm aware about the pictures. They're not from good quality. I've asked better detailed pics. Still waiting.

I've one of these, and I'm sure it is fake, as seen
below amongst genuine ones.........
Regards,
Steve.
as it doesn't hasn't been knurled and if you zoom in the way the pin has been attached doesn't quite look right imo
100% bad.
The SS only wore the SS-ZA badge on civilian clothes.
These badges were only made by two companies, Gahr and Hoffstätter, and were marked as such, as well as silver content marked and serial numbered.
Gahr made examples are much harder to find.

An original by Gahr. Not mine, but an image care of a good friend. Note it is an unissued example and is sans serial number.
I think you will see a world of difference between this and the one that started this thread....
Cheers, Ade.
