One hardly need mention that a variety of Sternchen were used on these badges, though there was a certain pattern well used on the Probe pieces and seen often.

Yes a few people have mentioned the piping but I have seen a few with piping liking this on
Ulrich's site and a few other collections.

That is not a valid reason for determining authenticity. Each piece must be judged individually. Besides the piping issue, I would expect to see some tarnish to the brass pins and also verdigris due to a chemical reaction with the mucilage used on the buckram.

Theres' a some of variations in these tabs and period picture's prove this. For me It's a good one.
