I often see posts of SS cuff title tags and am curious to know what the relevance of the "No 493369" is in this example. ( Not in my possession, just an illustration example)
I will gladly stand corrected here (as I am not an expert in this field, while others have studied these labels in detail), but as I understand it, this six-digit number is simply a consecutive serial number with the preceding letter denoting the run of the labels (so, there were labels A No. 000001 to A No. 999999 followed by labels B No. 000001 to B No. 999999 etc.)
