I don't like it. The lettering is not very well done. The "e" is very poor. The "u" and the "n" are almost the same.

I personally would pass on it if offered to me.

    Cheers, Ade.

This pattern of title was only worn for about 3 years: early 1936 until September 1939. Would there ever have been a need for an Officer to have his own pattern? I think not to be honest. Plus, to my way of thinking, an Officer at a training school would be the type of man to adhere to regulations. Wearing his own cuff title woud not set a good example to the men. Of course I could be completely wrong about this. Just thinking out loud.

    Cheers, Ade.

The black band material, on the first posted example, is of post-war construction. If you compare it with that example posted by F-B, you will immediately see the difference.

At the risk of larceny, here are some examples from the lord of the flies site for the officer's candidate school in Bayern. You can see the variety of techniques of manufacture. These are not my property, nor is the authentic cuff title on a black uniform pictured above. I am not so lucky. I just am very fleet at stealing other peoples' pictures.

I was just near Toelz, ( a fortnight ago) and became stalled in a huge Stau on the way towards the Brenner and Salzburg. In the last year, I have spent a lot of time in Bavaria for some reason at other educational institutions connected with contemporary security, defense and military affairs. Somehow. I saw no SS regalia for sale at all.

Thanks to colleague Hritz for his intervention.

The Toelz cuff title shown here was also made in Sutterlin.

Was this badge also made with runic "SS" too? I think.....
