Hello Gentlemen , could you please assist if possible on this SS-Dienstauszeichnung 3.Stufe (8 Jahre) - SS 8 year service medal. Has it been artificially aged?. Is it a good one or a bad one please?. The suspension loop looks ok and i notice the stippling also. So unsure.. Thank you in advance..

It's a fake I believe, and artificially aged.

Take a close look at the top loop, and compare to originals, its a good tell.

Thank you buddy , i always thought the teardrop suspension loop was a good sign?. Ahh sorry my mistake , you mean the smaller loop attached to the medal. Thank you.

The loop that the teardrop attaches to, the early fakes have round ones, newer ones have the teardrop.
But it's the loop on the metal that tells the story.

CBH is right about the ring the suspension loop is attached to. Here is an example of how it is supposed to look. It is from an older thread on this forum.

Thanks for the image, chamfered I believe is the term.

Beveled is another term used to describe the shape of this ring.
