It's a fake I believe, and artificially aged.

Take a close look at the top loop, and compare to originals, its a good tell.

The loop that the teardrop attaches to, the early fakes have round ones, newer ones have the teardrop.
But it's the loop on the metal that tells the story.
CBH is right about the ring the suspension loop is attached to. Here is an example of how it is supposed to look. It is from an older thread on this forum.

Thanks for the image, chamfered I believe is the term.
It's something easy to spot on the many multitudes of fakes out there.
