I'm not in any way an expert, so I'm not able to evaluate the uniforms, but the SS "swagger stick" (please, what is the proper German term for such a thing?) [...]

Swagger sticks are usually referred to as Offiziersstöckchen [officers' sticks]. (By the way, they are not really a part of German military tradition.)

I would like to add something to this thread in regards to forum etiquette. I know it's upsetting to hear negative comments about anything in one's collection but, as you clearly posted:

Feel free to comment on the pieces

For example, had you said that you'd rather not hear any input from others in regards to the authenticity, I would have been on your side and warned other members to not cast aspersions.

This is a crucial point as you really should not solicit other peoples opinions if you are not willing to listen to their point of view.

I've read the thread and I see no malice at all from other members here, only a wish to help you in authenticating these items.

After applying a“Vibarance” filter in Photoshop
you can clearly see that there was once a Heer eagle on this tunic..
I don’t think that a Sturmbannführer in the SS, especially a “doctor”
would use a pre used tunic... He would most likely have a tailored
Private perches tunic, even if he was once a regular “medic” in the
army before he got into the SS, he would not use his old tunic and modify it..

That is my opinion about that..

yes i have and all i can see is color flash back with what you did and i think every one is just jumping on the band wagon as for the tunic would need better photos but i am sure the eagle is a snider fake but would have to re cheak would like to see a front clear shot of it and a clear shot of the tabs would help a few things dont sit right with me,,
but better photos are the only way , seen to many good items put down because of bad photos and the jump on the band wagon remarkes

You could say its easy to make this shadowing up using a paint program... but the first pic is the Original Picture from the owner!

yep clear as now dont know why i could not see it the other way , thanks the tunic is dead in the water
