Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Agree Phil. Probably the most easily faked item. Stamp 'em out, put 'em in the ground, hey presto. Zinc doesn't take long to rust, but takes time to truly rust

Hi Guys, Thanks for the opinions. Yes, I know the SS stuff is faked often, you are correct. This is why the post, along with wanting to know what nomenclature stood for.
No expert at all, but thought this one might be a fake also. I would like to have an SS dog tag, but will run them through the site to make sure, if everyone doesn't mind.
Thanks for the help!! Regards, Steve

Re: SS Dog Tag Can Someone Translate Please?
Nope no-one minds. They are out there but are really pricey for what they are,if you know what i mean. I looked a while ago & was shocked at what they go for. But then again so does SS paperwork, which i know all about unfortunately. Stewy S

Steve
Not a problem.
There are very few SS tags I personally am comfortable with. But I do know where there is an LAH one if he'll let it go. I'll get back to you
