What,out of curiosity did a Degen sell for back in the day?

My notes of the era suggest that I sold it for USD 500 in 1979. I bought it several years earlier and cannot remember what I paid for it. Maybe USD 300, but I added the knot.

I have records of my collection that are more than forty years old. It is inconceivable via the parameters of the late 1960s and early 1970s as to how all of this has changed. Unbelievable, really, and the sums of money are mind boggling. My whole collection I sold in 1979 for fifteen thousand dollars, and it was hardly a small collection, either.....
