From these pictures , I for one cannot see anything wrong with it , and that would indeed be one VERY interesting auction .
Then again , fakes could have gotten just that much better by now -
and therefor I may turn out not to be one of them " really smart people " ..

As it happens , I already had it in my files ;
it was in the Craig Gottlieb auction some time ago , not exactly a low profile sale .
The chain may be a reproduction , but I still think the gorget itself is the real thing ..

All of the originals show a specific kind of wear , that I have never seen duplicated on the reproductions .
But at the prices of these items , unfortunately my studies will remain quite academical
