It looks like it could have been worn as there seems to be a stitch line along the edge but unless you have a crystal ball you"ll never know.

Looking at the reverse with the double stitching, is this the way they were making early collar tabs? or there is no differance between the two? are they both Dachau made?

I believe they are both Dachau made. The condition of the top tab is in my opinion from possible storage in a scrap book as stated above. What I try to look for in uniform removed items are indications of where the stiching was, wear at the bottom right of the tab, and also try to look into the story of how it came to me. I have one that I recently purchased that I also posted on this forum. I have an unissued tab but this one I just recently purchased is made from almost a velvet material but it is on a cardboard backing. I have not been able to obtain a for sure answer on if it was tunic removed or maybe a repair but it is most def a variation I have never seen in hand.

Top Collar most def has stiching lines (holes) on all 4 sides, i was just not sure on differance between the two, Thanks.
