SS Helmet: Real or Not?

I was sent these pictures of a supposed "SS" Helmet. To me it looks kind of fake, but what do I know. So anyway I just want to hear what you guys thought. I appreciate your time. Take care and Thanks.

Hi Mark, the helmet itself may be a genuine M42 but the decals are very poor fakes. To be honest they are not even close to any known originals. Have a look at Dougs "pinned" thread on SS helmet decals and you will see what I mean. Leon.

Thanks guys I thought the same thing. I just wanted to make sure they weren't some rare early type that you don't see often. Another thing that I thought was funny was the spacing between the rivets and the decals. Anyway thanks again for reassuring me, take care.
