I thought you might like to see my tunic
Hi Jo, very very nice indeed.
I would advise members to study this tunic closely. Look at the wool used, being re worked shoddy wool, it displays odd threads in different colours, you can even see red in the cuff title pic: the Bevo cuff title, the way the collar is re-inforced with the "sine wave" style stitch, etc. Lots of really useful info in these pictures.
The pink piped shoulder straps would be for a Panzer Jager (Anti tank gunner) with the rank of SS Unterscharführer.
Cheers, Ade.
very nice
Jay
what would this be, a M43?
Yes, "M43".
Note also the two holes for the belt ramp supports. This type of two hole tunic is associated with the SS.
Cheers, Ade.
Looks even lovlier with the SS belt and buckle
in one word beautifull
Great tunic in brilliant condition and a brilliant set of photos showing all salient points Jo.
Congrats on owning it.

Nice to see a classic late war SS tunic. Everything about it screams original. As Ade has said use this one as a learning tool.
Really beautiful.
Steve
just so proud for us to be the owners of this beautiful piece of history
