SS Kampfbinde (Armband) uniform attached
Hello Everyone;
I have stayed away from this area of the forum after our last fiasco.
This armband must of been cut by some GI after the war or something.
Enjoy

Looks like a nice example of a classic three piece construction wool kampfbinde.

Indeed. In all their splendour. A magnificent display. It was no accident that black, red and white were chosen...it was as a result of a study on which colours "stand out" the most and have the strongest impact in a visual sense. Here, is a classic example of how right they were.

Nice one!
@ FB :
Most NON- 3 piece contruction SS armbands getting a thumbs down because people don't know of their existance. ( or just thinking they are put to gether or re-sewn NSDAP armbands( Like the Bevo ones))
Could you show us some other examples that are proved orginals?

Well from the information that I can determine from these photographs from FB here I conclude that the sleeve material looks to be period.
The dealer I work with knows his SS regalia very well.
I wish my Class A's stood out like these uniforms!
Thanks FB!

The cotton types existed for the brown shirt and are depicted on the Whammond site, as well as the Herman site, actually.
I only concern myself with the woolen type for the black tunic, for reasons you can discern in my posts.\
Happy foetid pieces may they be three or two or none.
